10 Commandments of Healthy Sports Parents
At MTBYLA, we recognize that kids know what it feels like to win—and they love it.
That’s why we foster a competitive learning environment where the pursuit of victory is encouraged, but NEVER prioritized above character, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
Our mission is to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse while helping players navigate both wins and losses with humility, resilience, and respect. We aim to prepare athletes not just for high school and college play, but for success in life.
We ask that you join us in this mission by respecting the standards we’ve set and the work being done behind the scenes. Your support—on the sidelines, at home, and in conversations with your child—helps reinforce the values of honor, hustle, and humility that define our program.
Please remember: our goal is to teach the game, build character, and prepare these young athletes for success both on and off the field.
Winning is part of the journey, but it’s not the destination.
Together, we can create an experience that’s both competitive and respectful!
The below provided by Healthy Sports Parents outlines these expectations with 10 simple guidelines.
